Purpose and Audience

The Stansport 870 stuff bag is an extra-large sack built for campers who need one container for a sleeping bag, clothing, toiletries, food, first-aid kit and electronics. Its water-repellant coated polyester fabric helps protect gear from damp conditions on the trail or at the campsite.

Compatibility Check

Before ordering, verify that the 30 L x 18 W x 7.62 H inch dimensions fit inside your pack, vehicle or storage shelf. Confirm that a single drawstring closure meets your security needs and that the blue colour suits your colour-coding system for quick identification.

Build and Daily Use

The round bottom maximises internal volume while making it easier to stuff bulky items without sharp corners catching. A nylon webbing grab-handle on the end opposite the cord-lock drawstring gives a solid grip when hauling the loaded sack from a car boot to a tent site.

Questions about this item

What comes inside the Stansport 870 stuff bag and what extra items must I purchase separately?

The package contains one blue stuff bag with a drawstring closure and a nylon grab-handle. No additional components are included, so any sleeping bag, clothing or other gear must be supplied by you.

The specifications list X-Large and the dimensions 18 by 30 inches; which version should I choose for a standard sleeping bag?

The X-Large size measures 30 L x 18 W x 7.62 H inches, giving enough volume for a typical rectangular sleeping bag plus extra clothing or a pillow.

The product is described as water-resistant; what does that mean when the bag is used in a real campsite?

The coated polyester fabric repels light rain and ground moisture, keeping contents dry during brief exposure, but the drawstring top is not sealed so heavy downpours or submersion will let water in.
