  • Self-adhesive "Mc" labels apply directly to folders

Purpose and fit

These labels identify file folders or records using the “Mc” alphabetical designation. They are supplied on a roll of 500 for offices that use Tab 1383 series filing systems. Each label carries the single letter combination required for that sequence. The product is intended for clerical staff who maintain alphabetic file runs.

Build and daily handling

The label stock is vinyl, providing resistance to moisture and abrasion during frequent handling. A brown bar with two horizontal white stripes runs across the label, and the “Mc” text is printed in brown on a white background. Dimensions are 1.25 inches wide by 1 inch high before folding, allowing the label to wrap around a folder tab. The roll format feeds cleanly from standard desktop dispensers.

Compatibility check

Verify that your existing filing system uses the Tab 1383 label format and that the “Mc” letter matches the next segment in your alphabetic run. Confirm the dispenser or applicator accepts a roll of 500 labels at the stated width. Ensure the brown-and-white colour coding aligns with your current colour scheme for quick visual sorting.

Questions about this item

Which filing system standard does the 1383 label match?

These labels are made to the Tab Products 1383 specification, so they fit the same label holders and index positions used by that system.

What holder dimensions accept the 1.25 by 1 inch label?

The label measures 1.25 inches wide by 1 inch high before folding, so it fits pockets or slots sized for that format.

How do you apply the wrap-around label without misaligning the brown bar?

Peel the label, centre the brown "Mc" on the tab face, then wrap the brown bar with its two white lines around the tab edge so both bars sit evenly on the reverse side.
