What these labels are and who uses them

These Barkley ABKM compatible "U" labels come on a roll of 500 laminated pieces. Each label shows a brown wrap‑around bar with a white "U" outlined in black on a white background. They suit filing rooms, archives and offices that mark documents with a single letter code.

What they replace and when the switch pays off

The laminated stock replaces uncoated paper labels that tear or smudge in busy filing systems. The upgrade is worth it when labels face frequent handling, moisture or long‑term storage and must stay legible without re‑labelling.

How they fit into a filing workflow

The two‑tier roll dispenser feeds labels cleanly at the desk or on a cart, keeping the sequence in order. Laminated surfaces resist ink transfer and abrasion, so the letter remains readable through repeated filing and retrieval cycles.

Questions about this item

What dispenser style works with the two-tier roll design?

The roll is built for a two-tier roll dispenser that feeds the laminated labels from the centre core.

How do you apply the wrap-around label without mis-aligning the brown bar?

Peel the label, position the white "U" on the file edge, then wrap the brown bar around the spine so the black outline meets cleanly.

When should the roll be replaced if the laminate starts to wear?

Replace the roll once the brown bar shows scuffing or the clear laminate begins to peel, typically after heavy daily filing use.
