Arecont Vision AV1225PMIR-S Bullet Camera

The Arecont Vision AV1225PMIR-S is a 1.2 megapixel IP bullet camera built for outdoor surveillance. It connects through a wired network link and uses a varifocal 3-9mm lens to adjust the field of view. Infrared illumination covers distances from 61 to 100 feet in low light.

Installers needing variable focal length

This unit suits installers who need a varifocal lens to frame specific outdoor zones and a weather-resistant housing for exposed mounting on walls or ceilings. Buyers who require a fixed focal length, a different resolution, or wireless connectivity should look at other models.

Varifocal 3-9mm lens for adjustable field of view

The varifocal 3-9mm lens lets you set the viewing angle during installation so a single camera can cover narrow corridors or wider yards. Compression uses H.264, MPEG-4 and M-JPEG to manage bandwidth and storage. Power and data run over the same wired connection.

Questions about this item

What network recorder or software must I already have to receive video from this 1.2 megapixel IP bullet camera?

You need an NVR or VMS that supports H.264, MPEG-4 or M-JPEG streams over a wired Ethernet connection.

Can I keep my existing analogue cabling and simply connect this camera?

No, the camera transmits digital IP video over Ethernet cable; it does not output an analogue signal over coax.

How do I confirm the camera is recording correctly after installation?

Log into the NMS or web interface, verify a live 1.2 megapixel feed and check that night vision reaches the rated 61 to 100 feet range.
