Right-Angle USB-C Adapter

This 90-degree USB-C male-to-female adapter redirects the cable to reduce strain on the port and the cable itself. It supports charging, data transfer and video output for USB-C devices such as laptops, phones and the Nintendo Switch. The compact aluminium shell makes it easy to carry in a bag or pocket.

Sustained 40Gbps and 140W Delivery

The adapter meets the USB4 standard for up to 40Gbps data throughput and handles up to 28V/5A for 140W power delivery. Actual speeds and charging rates depend on the host, cable and peripheral capabilities, so sustained performance will match the weakest link in the chain.

USB4 and Thunderbolt Limits

Bandwidth tops out at 40Gbps and video output reaches 8K at 60Hz, both bounded by the USB4 specification. Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts can use the adapter, but they cannot exceed these limits. The adapter adds no active circuitry, so cable length and quality determine the final signal integrity.

Questions about this item

Does the right-angle design help reduce heat buildup during long 140W charging sessions?

The 90-degree adapter routes the cable away from the port, lowering mechanical strain and allowing better airflow around the connector during sustained 140W power delivery.

What must my device already support to reach the advertised 40Gbps data rate?

Your host and cable must both be USB4 or Thunderbolt 4/3 compliant; the adapter itself meets the USB4 standard for up to 40Gbps throughput.

Will this adapter work with my older 5Gbps USB-C hub without slowing it down further?

Yes, it is backward compatible — the hub will run at its native 5Gbps while the adapter simply passes the signal through.
