Purpose and audience

This desiccant pack protects stored goods inside closed containers by maintaining a humidity level of 8 percent. It suits shippers, archivists and anyone who needs moisture control for boxed inventory or equipment. Buyers who need active climate control for open spaces or large rooms cannot use this product.

Thermals noise and power

The packets contain no moving parts, electronics or heating elements, so they generate no heat, no audible noise and draw no power. They operate passively by adsorbing moisture from the surrounding air within the sealed volume.

Build integration

Each Tyvek bag measures one and a half inches wide by three and one-eighth inches long and holds half an ounce of desiccant. A pail supplies five hundred fifty bags rated for point four two cubic feet each, letting you distribute protection across many containers without adding measurable weight or bulk.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 1/2 oz Tyvek desiccant bags in a 0.42 cu ft closed container?

Place the required number of 1/2 oz Tyvek bags inside the closed container so air can circulate around each bag; the common mistake is stacking them tightly or sealing the container before the bags are evenly distributed.

When will the 550-bag pail need replacement if the humidity indicator shows 8 percent?

Replace the bags once the humidity indicator card reads above 8 percent, signalling the desiccant has reached its adsorption capacity and can no longer protect the contents.

What is the first limit reached when the 1/2 oz bags are used continuously in a sealed 0.42 cu ft space?

The adsorption capacity of each 1/2 oz bag is the first limit; once saturated, humidity rises above the 8 percent target and protection stops until fresh bags are installed.
