Armor VCI Bags 58 x 48 in

These corrosion-inhibiting bags use Low Density Polyethylene to protect metal parts during storage and shipping. The blue 4 mil material comes in a roll of twenty-five gusseted open-top bags measuring fifty-eight inches by forty-eight inches.

Suits metal fabricators and shippers

Buyers needing FDA-compliant packaging for direct food contact should look elsewhere. Operations requiring heat-sealable closures or hang holes for retail display will not find those features on this roll.

Simple open-top loading

The gusseted bottom expands for bulky items but offers no built-in sealing method. Users must supply their own ties tape or heat-sealing equipment to close each bag securely.

Questions about this item

Do I need a heat sealer to close the 58" x 48" open-top VCI bags?

Yes, the bags have an open top with no built-in closure, so a heat sealer or similar method is required to create an airtight seal.

Can I store smaller metal components in these 4 mil LDPE bags alongside larger items?

The gusseted bottom expands to accommodate bulkier parts, while the 4 mil thickness protects both large and small steel items from corrosion.

How do I confirm the VCI protection is active after I seal the bag?

Place a clean steel coupon inside, seal the bag, then check the coupon after the recommended exposure period; it should show no rust or discoloration.
