Aquarium-Safe Silicone Sealant

This high-modulus RTV silicone forms strong cohesive bonds to glass without primers. The cured sealant is non-toxic to fish and withstands continuous immersion in fresh or salt water. It is formulated for building or repairing aquariums and vivariums. The non-slump consistency allows application on vertical surfaces without sagging.

Surface Preparation and Cure Time

Glass must be properly cleaned before the sealant is applied. The product can be applied to surface temperatures from -18°C to +50°C. After assembly, the sealant requires at least 7 to 10 days to fully cure before water and fish are added. Excess uncured material can be removed with solvents such as MEK or alcohol.

Temperature Resistance and Safety

Once cured, the sealant withstands constant operating temperatures from -57°C to +233°C. The non-toxic formulation ensures safety for aquatic life in both fresh and salt-water environments. The universal clear colour maintains a clean appearance on glass joints. The 10.2 oz cartridge provides sufficient volume for standard aquarium projects.
