Socket SP5 server board with 12 DDR5 slots, 24 SATA ports, and dual PCIe 5.0 x16 plus six MCIO connectors
The ASRock Rack GENOAD12M3-2Q is a single-socket motherboard built for AMD EPYC 9005, 9004 and 97x4 processors. It targets system integrators deploying dense compute or storage nodes in rack environments. The board delivers 12 DDR5 RDIMM slots in a 1DPC layout. This platform suits workloads needing high core counts and memory capacity per socket.
Six MCIO connectors provide PCIe 5.0 x8 links while two more MCIO ports switch between PCIe 5.0 x8 and eight SATA 6Gb/s ports. Two full-length PCIe 5.0 x16 slots add GPU or accelerator bandwidth. The M.2 sockets accept PCIe 5.0 x4 or four SATA 6Gb/s devices each. This I/O mix keeps storage and expansion lanes fed during continuous throughput.
Memory tops out at 12 populated slots using RDIMM or RDIMM-3DS modules. Builders needing more than 12 DIMMs per node must choose a dual-socket or higher-slot-count alternative. The board measures 9.6 by 13.39 inches. First manufacturer listing occurred on January 23 2026.

The board itself has no published TDP; total power depends on the installed AMD EPYC 9004 or 9005 series processor and the 12 DDR5 RDIMM modules you populate.
You need an AMD EPYC 9004, 9005 or 97x4 series CPU for the SP5 socket, DDR5 RDIMM or RDIMM-3DS memory for up to 12 slots, and storage drives for the 24 SATA 6Gb/s ports or the M.2 and MCIO interfaces.
Yes, the 24 SATA 6Gb/s ports accept standard SATA SSDs and HDDs; the board also provides 8 MCIO lanes that can be configured as 8 additional SATA 6Gb/s connections.
