Mesh Wi-Fi 7 System for Large Homes

The ASUS ZenWiFi BD5 three-pack delivers dual-band Wi-Fi 7 coverage across 6,800 sq. ft. with combined wireless rates up to 5,000 Mbps. Each node includes dual 2.5G Ethernet ports that auto-detect WAN or LAN roles, a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor and four internal antennas with high-power front-end modules. AiProtection Pro and advanced VPN features provide commercial-grade security for every connected device.

Ideal for Multi-Device Households

Families streaming 8K video, gaming on multiple consoles and running extensive smart-home ecosystems will benefit from the high throughput, MLO support and seamless AiMesh roaming. Buyers who only need coverage for a small apartment or a single floor will find the three-node layout excessive. Homes that require a dedicated 6 GHz band for legacy client segregation or tri-band backhaul should look at tri-band mesh systems instead.

Dual 2.5G Ports Enable Wired Backhaul

Each unit provides two 2.5G Ethernet ports with auto-detection, allowing true wired backhaul between nodes without sacrificing a LAN port. This specification decides whether the system can sustain peak Wi-Fi 7 speeds across the full 6,800 sq. ft. footprint in homes with existing Ethernet wiring.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the mesh is delivering the rated 688+4323 Mbps performance after setup?

Use the ASUS Router app or web interface to view real-time link speeds and run a speed test from a device connected to the 5 GHz band; the dashboard shows per-node throughput and MLO status so you can verify dual-band Wi-Fi 7 operation across the 6800 sq ft coverage area

What comes in the 3-pack box and what must I purchase separately?

The package includes three ZenWiFi BD5 nodes, one RJ45 cable, three power adapters, a warranty card and a quick start guide; additional Ethernet cables for wired backhaul or extra wall-plate mounts are not included

Why choose the BE5000 3-pack over a single unit or 2-pack?

The 3-pack is rated for 6800 sq ft and provides three nodes each with dual 2.5G auto-detect ports and four internal antennas, enabling full AiMesh coverage and wired backhaul options throughout a large home, whereas fewer units reduce both area and Ethernet port availability
