Compact Chrome OS desktop with Celeron 7305

The ASUS CHROMEBOX5a-SC081UNENT is a small-form-factor desktop running Google Chrome OS. It uses an Intel Celeron 7305 processor with 8 GB of DDR5 memory and a 128 GB SSD. The system targets education, kiosk and light office deployments that rely on web apps and cloud storage.

Replaces older Chrome OS boxes

Moving from a device with 4 GB of memory or eMMC storage to this 8 GB DDR5 and 128 GB SSD configuration reduces swapping and speeds up app launches. The jump is worth it when workloads keep many browser tabs or Android apps open simultaneously. Buyers who need local databases, heavy media editing or Windows-only software should look elsewhere.

Limited by Chrome OS hardware support

The Intel UHD Graphics engine drives one HDMI and one DisplayPort 1.4 output from the USB-C port, so only two external displays are possible. Peripheral bandwidth tops out at USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds, and the Gigabit Ethernet port caps wired networking at 1 Gbps. No discrete GPU or internal expansion slots are present.
