What this adapter is and who it fits

The ASUS PCE-BE90BT adds WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 to a desktop through a PCI Express x1 slot. It ships with two external antennas on a 0.8 m cable plus both standard and low-profile brackets. Windows 11 64-bit is the only supported operating system.

Sustained throughput on three bands

Tri-band radios deliver up to 2882 Mbps on 6 GHz, 2882 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz using 4096-QAM and 160 MHz channels. Multi-link Operation and OFDMA keep efficiency high when the link runs continuously rather than in short bursts. The 6 GHz band avoids legacy WiFi 6E traffic for cleaner airtime.

Heat, noise and power in daily use

The card draws power from the PCIe slot and has no onboard fan, so it adds no audible noise to the system. External antennas can be positioned away from the chassis to maintain signal quality without increasing internal temperatures. Bluetooth 5.4 improves energy efficiency over Bluetooth 5.3 during long sessions.

Questions about this item

How much power does the PCE-BE90BT draw when running Wi-Fi 7 on the 6 GHz band all day?

The adapter plugs into a PCI-Express x1 slot and draws its power from the motherboard; no separate power connector is required.

What must I already have inside my PC for the PCE-BE90BT to function?

A free PCI-Express x1 slot, a Windows 11 64-bit installation, and an internal USB header for the supplied motherboard USB cable to enable Bluetooth 5.4.

Will the PCE-BE90BT work alongside my older Wi-Fi 6 router on the 5 GHz band?

Yes, it connects to Wi-Fi 6 routers on 5 GHz at up to 2882 Mbps while also supporting the newer 6 GHz band for Wi-Fi 7 access points.
