LC fibre connectors accept SFP+ SR, SFP+ LR or direct-attach copper modules. Builders without an available x8 slot cannot use this adapter.

PCI-E Gen2 x8 bandwidth and cable reach limits

The Gen2 x8 link provides up to 50 Gbps of raw throughput, sufficient for the 10GbE port.
