Curved Deluxe Mid-Tower Case

The ASUS ROG Cronox GR801 is a curved deluxe mid-tower chassis built for E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX boards, including rear-mounted BTF layouts. Three tempered-glass panels showcase the interior while a brushed aluminium frame adds rigidity. It suits builders who want a wide motherboard choice and a strong visual presence.

Build Flexibility and Connectivity

The case accepts a 3.5-inch drive plus two 2.5-inch drives or four 2.5-inch units, and provides eight standard plus two vertical expansion slots. Front I/O includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports and a headphone/microphone jack, with a dedicated LED control button. A 40 mm cable-management channel keeps routing tidy. Builders needing more than four 2.5-inch drives or a second vertical GPU will need a different layout.

Sustained Thermal Capacity

Top mounts support 120, 240 and 360 mm liquid coolers plus four 120 mm fans, the side takes four 120 mm fans and the rear fits a 120 mm radiator or two 120 mm fans. Maximum CPU cooler height is 180 mm, GPU length 400 mm and power supply length 200 mm. With room for up to fourteen 120 mm fans and ten preset ARGB lighting effects synced via Aura Sync, airflow scales with prolonged workloads rather than short bursts.

Questions about this item

How many 120 mm fans can the ASUS ROG Cronox GR801 fit before airflow becomes the limiting factor?

The case supports up to 14 120 mm fans across top, side and rear mounts, so sustained thermal load will hit the fan-count ceiling first.

What noise and heat should I expect when the GR801 runs all day with a full fan complement?

With 14 120 mm fans available, you can run them at low RPM for quiet operation while still moving enough air to keep component temperatures down during extended use.

Which motherboard form factors and mounting style does the GR801 require me to already own?

It accepts E-ATX up to 12 x 10.9 inches, ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX and BTF rear-mounted boards, so your existing motherboard must match one of those layouts.
