Sustained load with upgraded thermal compound

HIDevolution applies Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU during assembly. The liquid-metal and high-conductivity pastes are intended to lower peak temperatures during extended gaming or rendering sessions. Stress testing is performed before shipment to verify thermal behaviour under continuous load.

Eclipse Gray chassis with BTO quality control

The laptop measures 13.94 x 10.55 x 0.90 to 1.21 inches and weighs 6.02 lbs. As an authorized ASUS build-to-order dealer, HIDevolution performs a full quality check including BIOS and driver updates, keyboard and touchpad verification, port functionality tests, and display inspection. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the i7-14650HX and RTX 5050 run under sustained load?

The laptop uses Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut on the CPU and Gelid GC Extreme on the GPU to lower temperatures during extended gaming sessions.

Does the 16 GB DDR5 5600MHz memory leave a free slot for adding more RAM later?

The 16 GB ships as 2 x 8 GB modules in dual channel, so both SO-DIMM slots are occupied and an upgrade would require replacing the existing sticks.

Can the 165Hz WUXGA panel drive an older 60Hz external monitor without issues?

Yes, the HDMI and DisplayPort outputs support mixed refresh rates, so the internal 165Hz screen and a 60Hz external display can run simultaneously.
