18-inch WQXGA 240Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Strix G18 is an 18-inch gaming laptop built around a 2560 x 1600 IPS panel running at 240Hz. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX 24-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU carrying 8GB of GDDR7 memory. 32GB of DDR5 system memory and a 1TB solid-state drive complete the core specification. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Ideal for high-refresh competitive play

The 240Hz WQXGA display and 24-core CPU suit players who want smooth motion in fast shooters and creators who need multi-threaded throughput for rendering or encoding. The 7.54 lb chassis and 18-inch footprint make it impractical for daily commuting or cramped workspaces. Buyers who need longer unplugged runtime or a lighter device should consider smaller alternatives.

RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 graphics decide fit

The discrete RTX 5070 with 8GB GDDR7 is the single component that determines whether this machine meets a given workload. It enables high frame rates at the native 2560 x 1600 resolution and supports DLSS upscaling for heavier titles. If the target games or applications demand more video memory or higher raster performance, a laptop equipped with a higher-tier GPU is required.
