ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a pre-built gaming desktop powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X 16-core processor running at 4.3GHz. It includes a Radeon RX 9070 graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory, 128GB of DDR5 RAM and a 4TB NVMe SSD. A 360mm liquid cooler and 750W power supply support the components inside the chassis. Windows 11 Home comes installed.

Suits buyers wanting a ready-to-play 4K system

This PC suits gamers and creators who want high frame rates at 4K resolution without assembling parts themselves. The 16-core CPU and 128GB memory also handle heavy multitasking and content creation workloads. Buyers who need more than 4TB of fast storage or a higher-wattage power supply for future GPU upgrades should look at other configurations. The fixed component selection limits later changes to the cooling loop or power delivery.

Simple setup with standard desktop connections

The system arrives assembled and tested, so setup only requires connecting a display, keyboard, mouse and power cable. Windows 11 Home boots to the desktop for immediate driver updates and game installs. The 360mm liquid cooler is pre-filled and sealed, removing the risk of leaks during installation. Builders unfamiliar with custom-loop maintenance should note that the sealed unit cannot be refilled or expanded without specialist tools.

Questions about this item

Does the ROG Strix Helios GX601 require a separate monitor, keyboard and mouse to operate?

Yes, the desktop ships without a display or input devices, so you must provide your own monitor, keyboard and mouse to use it.

Will my existing PCIe 3.0 add-in cards work in the GX601?

The motherboard uses PCI Express x16 slots that are backward compatible, so older PCIe 3.0 cards will function at their rated speed.

How can I verify the 360 mm liquid cooler is keeping the Ryzen 9 9950X at safe temperatures after assembly?

Open the BIOS or run a monitoring utility such as HWMonitor and confirm the CPU package temperature stays well below the 95 °C throttle point under load.
