System identity

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a pre-built gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe solid-state drive. Windows 11 Home is installed and the system is liquid cooled for sustained performance.

Compatibility check

Verify that your display provides a PCI Express compatible input for the RTX 5080 and that your desk or floor space accommodates a full-size tower with a 360mm radiator. The 1000W power supply requires a grounded mains socket rated for the local voltage. Ensure your network environment supports the onboard Wi-Fi standard used by the motherboard.

Bundled impact

The 360mm liquid cooler keeps the 16-core CPU at stable temperatures during extended sessions, reducing thermal throttling. Factory-installed Windows 11 Home removes the need for a separate licence and driver hunt. The 1000W unit delivers headroom for the GPU and any future storage upgrades. RGB lighting is controllable through the included ASUS software suite.

Questions about this item

Does the ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 arrive with a monitor, keyboard and mouse, or must I supply them?

The system ships as a complete tower with Windows 11 Home pre-installed; a display, keyboard and mouse are not included and must be purchased separately.

The spec lists 64GB DDR5 — is that the maximum the board supports or can I add more later?

The motherboard provides four DDR5 slots and all four are populated to reach 64GB, so further expansion would require replacing existing modules.

What does the 4.3GHz base clock on the Ryzen 9 9950X mean for sustained gaming performance?

The 16-core processor runs at a 4.3GHz base frequency and is cooled by a 360mm liquid cooler, allowing it to maintain high clocks during extended gaming sessions.
