ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 Desktop

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 is a pre-built gaming desktop PC powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X processor with 12 cores running at 4.4GHz base frequency. It targets enthusiasts who want a liquid-cooled system ready for high-resolution gaming and demanding creative workloads immediately. The chassis includes RGB lighting and Wi-Fi connectivity for a complete setup.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 128GB DDR5 memory and AMD Radeon RX 9070 with 16GB GDDR6 suit content creators and gamers running memory-intensive applications or high texture settings. The dual-storage layout with a 2TB NVMe SSD and 2TB SATA HDD handles large project libraries. Buyers needing ECC memory support or a workstation-grade GPU for certified drivers should consider alternative platforms.

Bundled cooler storage and software impact

A 360mm liquid cooler manages thermal load for the 12-core CPU during sustained boost clocks. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed so the system arrives ready to play without additional configuration. The 750W power supply delivers stable power to the GPU and CPU combination. Component brands may vary across production batches.

Questions about this item

Do I need to buy a monitor, keyboard and mouse separately to use this ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601?

Yes, the desktop ships without a display or input devices, so you will need your own monitor, keyboard and mouse to operate it.

Can I keep my older SATA III hard drives and plug them into this system alongside the included 2TB HDD?

The motherboard provides SATA III ports, so existing SATA hard drives or SSDs can be installed and used with the pre-fitted 2TB HDD.

How can I confirm the 360mm liquid cooler is keeping the Ryzen 9 9900X at safe temperatures after setup?

Open the BIOS or a monitoring utility such as HWMonitor and check that the CPU package temperature stays well below its thermal limit under load.
