ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

This new ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a pre-built gaming desktop PC. It pairs an Intel Core i7-14700KF 20-core processor at 3.4GHz with a Dhahab GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card holding 16GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 64GB DDR5 RAM across four slots, a 2TB NVMe SSD and a 2TB SATA III HDD. A 360mm liquid cooler and 1000W power supply support the hardware. Windows 11 Home is installed.

Upgrading from older desktops or integrated graphics

The jump is worth it when you need 20 cores for heavy multitasking and a GPU with 16GB GDDR7 for 4K gaming or creative workloads. The 2TB NVMe SSD cuts load times compared with mechanical drives, while the 360mm liquid cooler keeps the CPU stable under sustained loads. Component brands may vary, so the exact SSD controller or cooler model can differ between units.

Suits gamers and creators wanting a ready high-end

Buyers who want a smaller chassis, lower power draw or a specific GPU brand should look elsewhere. The 64GB DDR5 capacity is fixed at purchase; those planning to exceed it need a different platform. The 1000W supply covers this build but leaves little headroom for major GPU upgrades. Component brands may vary, so buyers requiring a particular SSD or cooler model should verify before ordering.

Questions about this item

What case clearance does the 360 mm liquid cooler need for the radiator and fans?

The 360 mm liquid cooler requires space for a 360 mm radiator and matching fans; verify your chassis supports that length and thickness before fitting.

How is the 1000 W power supply connected to the RTX 5080, and what step is often missed?

Attach the required PCIe power cables from the 1000 W unit to the graphics card, then ensure each connector is fully seated — loose plugs are the common oversight.

Which memory standard and speed should I match when adding more RAM to the four DDR5 slots?

Add DDR5 modules that match the installed speed; the board has four slots, so populate them in matched pairs for dual-channel operation.
