Velztorm Pilum desktop with 3700X and RX 6900 XT

This pre-built gaming desktop pairs an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X eight-core processor with a Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card. It ships with 32GB of DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Windows 10 Pro is installed and a 750W power supply drives the system. The chassis includes a 120mm AIO liquid cooler and RGB lighting.

PCIe NVMe storage and 802.11n wireless limits

The 2TB NVMe SSD provides fast read and write speeds for game loading and file transfers. Wireless connectivity is limited to 802.11n, so maximum throughput is lower than modern Wi-Fi standards and may restrict online gaming or large downloads. No Bluetooth adapter is included. Wired Ethernet remains the most reliable network option for this build.

16GB GDDR6 VRAM determines 4K headroom

The Radeon RX 6900 XT includes 16GB of GDDR6 video memory, which is the key spec for high-resolution texture pools and 4K gaming performance. Buyers who need more VRAM for heavy compute workloads or multi-GPU configurations cannot expand it on this card. The fixed 32GB system RAM and single GPU slot also limit future upgrades for memory-intensive tasks.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 512GB, 1TB or 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD for this Pilum?

The 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD gives the most room for large game libraries and media without adding a secondary drive.

What does the Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz to 4.4 GHz range mean when I am gaming?

The 8-core processor runs at 3.6 GHz base and boosts to 4.4 GHz, keeping frame rates steady in CPU-heavy scenes.

What does the 802.11n Wi-Fi cap in real use?

802.11n tops out well below gigabit Ethernet, so a wired RJ-45 link is faster for competitive play.
