Ryzen 7 9800X3D gaming desktop

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White system pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor at 4.7GHz with an AMD Radeon RX 9070 graphics card holding 16GB GDDR6 memory. It ships with 64GB DDR5 RAM, a 4TB NVMe SSD plus a 2TB SATA III HDD, a 750W power supply and Windows 11 Home. A 360mm liquid cooler manages thermals in a Wi-Fi and RGB-equipped chassis.

Suits high-refresh 1440p and 4K gamers.

The single PCI Express x16 graphics interface supports one Radeon RX 9070, so buyers planning dual-card configurations should look elsewhere. Four DDR5 slots are all populated, leaving no room for memory expansion without replacing modules. VR-ready certification and the 16-core CPU suit streamers and content creators who need strong multi-threaded performance alongside gaming.

16-core AM5 CPU with 360mm liquid cooling

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D runs on the AM5 socket with a base frequency of 4.7GHz across 16 cores, cooled by a factory-fitted 360mm liquid cooler. This combination determines sustained boost behaviour in long sessions and is the specification that decides whether the platform meets a buyer's thermal and performance envelope.

Questions about this item

Does the Ryzen 7 9800X3D need a separate cooler or is one included?

The system ships with a 360 mm liquid cooler already fitted to the AM5 socket.

Will my existing SATA III hard drives work with the storage bays in this chassis?

The 2 TB hard drive supplied uses SATA III, so any additional SATA III drive will connect without adapters.

How can I verify the Radeon RX 9070 is running at PCI Express x16 after I power on?

Open GPU-Z or Radeon Software and confirm the bus interface shows PCI Express x16 at the current link width.
