ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a new gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 12-core processor running at 4.4GHz. It pairs the CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics card equipped with 8GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 64GB DDR5 RAM across four slots, a 2TB NVMe SSD, a 2TB SATA III HDD, and a 750W power supply. A 360mm liquid cooler manages thermal performance under Windows 11 Home.

Suits 4K gaming and heavy multitasking.

This configuration suits players targeting high refresh rates at 1440p or entry 4K gaming, plus creators who need 64GB DDR5 for video editing or 3D rendering. The single PCI Express x16 slot and 750W power supply limit expansion to one graphics card, so builders planning SLI or dual-GPU compute should look elsewhere. Buyers who want more than two internal drives or a larger GPU power budget will need a different platform.

Fits a full-tower loop

The 360mm liquid cooler occupies the top or front radiator mounts of a full-tower chassis, leaving the 2TB NVMe SSD as the primary boot drive and the 2TB HDD for bulk storage. Four DDR5 slots are fully populated, so memory upgrades require module replacement rather than addition. The 750W unit powers the existing CPU and GPU with headroom for additional SSDs or peripherals, but not for a second high-end graphics card.

Questions about this item

Does the system arrive with a display, keyboard and mouse included?

The desktop ships as a tower only; you will need to connect your own monitor, keyboard and mouse to use it.

Will my existing SATA III hard drives or SSDs work inside the ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601?

Yes, the motherboard provides SATA III ports so any 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch SATA drive you keep can be installed alongside the 2 TB NVMe SSD and 2 TB HDD already fitted.

How can I confirm the 360 mm liquid cooler is keeping the Ryzen 9 9900X at healthy temperatures after first boot?

Open the BIOS or a hardware-monitoring utility and check that the CPU package temperature stays well below its thermal limit while idling and under load.
