System identity

The ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White is a new gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 16-core processor running at 4.3 GHz and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card with 16 GB GDDR7 memory. It ships with Windows 11 Home, 128 GB DDR5 RAM across four slots, a 2 TB NVMe SSD plus a 2 TB SATA III HDD, and a 1000 W power supply cooled by a 360 mm liquid cooler.

Compatibility checks

Verify that your display cables match the RTX 5080 PCI Express x16 output options and that your desk space accommodates a full-tower chassis with a 360 mm radiator. Confirm your mains circuit can sustain a 1000 W PSU draw under load. The board uses an AM5 socket with four DDR5 slots, all populated, so any future memory changes require module replacement rather than simple addition.

Suitability

This system suits enthusiasts who want a 16-core CPU and high-end GPU ready for 4K gaming, VR workloads and heavy multitasking without assembly. Buyers who need more than 128 GB RAM, additional drive bays beyond the supplied NVMe and SATA devices, or a smaller form factor should look at other configurations.
