ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White Gaming Desktop

This ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 White system is a new gaming desktop PC built around an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor with 24 cores running at 5.7GHz. It targets enthusiasts who want a pre-assembled, liquid-cooled machine ready for demanding titles and heavy multitasking. The chassis includes RGB lighting and WiFi connectivity. It ships with Windows 11 Home installed and tested.

360mm Liquid Cooler and Dual Storage Configuration

A 360mm liquid cooler handles thermal duties for the 24-core CPU, allowing sustained high frequencies during extended sessions. Storage combines a 4TB NVMe SSD for rapid boot and game loading with a 2TB SATA III HDD for bulk capacity. The 850W power supply delivers energy to the Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card with 16GB GDDR6 memory and the 128GB DDR5 kit across four slots.

PCI Express x16 Graphics Interface and Memory Limits

The Radeon RX 9070 XT connects via a PCI Express x16 slot, defining the GPU bandwidth ceiling for this build. System memory is fixed at 128GB DDR5 across four populated slots, leaving no free DIMM sockets for future expansion. Buyers who want more storage than the 4TB NVMe plus 2TB HDD provide, or who need additional memory channels beyond the four installed modules, should note these constraints.

Questions about this item

Will the 360 mm liquid cooler need coolant refills or pump replacement over time?

The sealed 360 mm liquid cooler is maintenance-free for its service life; no coolant refills are required and the pump is not user-serviceable.

What limits sustained performance first — the 850 W power supply or the 360 mm liquid cooler?

The 360 mm liquid cooler’s thermal capacity is the first limit under sustained full-load operation before the 850 W power supply reaches its rating.

How loud does the 360 mm liquid cooler get when the system runs all day at full load?

Under continuous full load the 360 mm liquid cooler’s three fans spin up to audible but moderate levels; the pump remains quiet.
