15.6-inch 300 Hz gaming laptop

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus S15 GX502LXS-XS79 pairs a 15.6-inch FHD panel running at 300 Hz with an Intel Core i7-10875H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU. Eight cores reach 5.10 GHz turbo frequency, while 48 GB of DDR4 2666 MHz memory and a 1 TB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD handle large workloads. The configuration targets competitive gamers and content creators who need high refresh rates and ample memory.

Sustained load behaviour

ROG Boost raises GPU clocks during extended sessions, and the Max-Q design balances performance with thermal limits in the thin chassis. The eight-core Comet Lake CPU maintains 2.30 GHz base speed across all cores before turbo engages, allowing steady frame rates in long matches. G-Sync synchronises the 300 Hz display to the GPU, reducing stutter when temperatures stabilise. The 1 TB NVMe drive keeps load times consistent without thermal throttling.

Build quality and connectivity

The black chassis measures 14.17 by 9.92 by 0.74 inches and weighs 4.18 pounds, making it portable for a 15.6-inch class machine. An IPS-level panel covers 100 percent sRGB and 75.36 percent Adobe with 170-degree viewing angles. Gigabit LAN provides wired networking, while the PCIe NVMe slot and soldered plus SO-DIMM memory layout reflect the authorised build-to-order customisation. Windows 10 Pro ships pre-installed.
