16-inch gaming laptop for high-refresh play

The ASUS TUF A16 Raider pairs a 16.0 inch FHD+ display running at 165Hz with an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor and AMD Radeon RX 7700S graphics. It is built for players who want smooth motion in competitive titles and enough CPU threads for streaming or background tasks. Windows 11 Home ships pre-installed.

8GB dedicated video memory and 16GB system memory

The RX 7700S brings 8GB of GDDR6 memory, giving comfortable headroom for 1080p gaming at high settings and entry-level 1440p work. The 16GB DDR5 system memory handles modern games and multitasking without paging. The 512GB PCIe SSD holds a modest library; larger collections will need external storage.

USB4 and HDMI 2.1 FRL for external displays

A single USB4 port and an HDMI 2.1 FRL output drive high-refresh external monitors at native resolution. Two USB-A 3.2 ports and one USB-C 3.2 port cover peripherals, while RJ45 Ethernet and 802.11ax Wi-Fi with Bluetooth 5.3 keep latency low for online matches.

Questions about this item

Will the laptop drive a 165 Hz external monitor over HDMI?

The HDMI 2.1 FRL port supports up to 4K 120 Hz, so a 165 Hz panel at 1920 x 1200 will run at its full refresh rate.

Is the 512 GB SSD user-replaceable with a larger PCIe drive?

The chassis uses a standard M.2 PCIe slot; a larger PCIe SSD can be fitted, but opening the case voids the supplier's upgrade warranty on that component.

Does the USB-C USB4 port carry video for a second display?

Yes, the USB4 port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode, allowing a second external monitor alongside the HDMI output.
