Micro-ATX board for 8th- and 9th-generation Intel Core CPUs, four DDR4 slots up to 64 GB, one full-length PCIe 3.0 x16 slot, six SATA ports and an M.2 socket
The ASUS TUF B365M-Plus Gaming is a Micro ATX motherboard built around the Intel B365 chipset for LGA 1151 (300 Series) processors. It supports 9th and 8th Gen Intel Core, Pentium Gold and Celeron CPUs. Four DDR4 slots accept up to 64GB of memory running at 2666, 2400 or 2133 MHz in dual-channel mode.
This board suits builders who need a compact foundation for a mainstream Intel system with integrated graphics output and a single full-length PCIe 3.0 x16 slot. It also provides a second x16 slot wired at x4 plus one x1 slot for add-in cards. Users requiring multiple x16 slots at full bandwidth, Wi-Fi, or support for newer socket types should consider other platforms.
One M.2 Socket 3 with M key accepts 2242, 2260 and 2280 drives operating in either SATA or PCIe 3.0 x4 mode. A second M.2 Socket 3 with M key supports the same form factors in PCIe 3.0 x4 mode only. This arrangement determines which solid-state drives can be installed and at what speed.

Align the notches on the CPU with the socket keys, lower it gently without force, then close the retention lever until it clicks; the common mistake is pressing down on the chip before the lever is fully latched.
The M.2 slot supports SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4 drives in 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths; a failed drive is the most likely part to swap later.
The single PCIe 3.0 x16 slot runs at x16 while the second x16 slot is wired for x4, so multi-GPU bandwidth caps at x4 on the lower slot.
