System Overview

The ASUS TUF GT301 is a new gaming desktop built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-core processor running at 3.8 GHz. It pairs this CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card carrying 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. The system targets players who want a complete, liquid-cooled Windows 11 machine ready for high-refresh 1440p gaming and content creation workloads.

Build Integration

A 240 mm liquid cooler handles CPU thermals inside the GT301 chassis, while an 850 W power supply feeds the entire platform. Storage combines a 2 TB NVMe SSD for the operating system and active titles with a 2 TB SATA III HDD for bulk media. Four DDR5 slots are populated with 32 GB total, leaving all four slots occupied. The RTX 5070 connects via PCI Express x16 and the board includes Wi-Fi for wireless networking.

Capacity and Headroom

The 12 GB GDDR7 frame buffer and 32 GB DDR5 system memory provide comfortable headroom for modern AAA games at 1440p ultra settings and multitasking with streaming software. The dual-drive layout offers 4 TB combined space, though the NVMe portion will fill first with large game installs. Builders who need more than 32 GB RAM or additional NVMe drives will hit the current memory-slot and M.2 limits of this configuration.

Questions about this item

Will the 240 mm liquid cooler keep the Ryzen 7 9700X from throttling during long gaming sessions?

The 240 mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the 8-core 3.8 GHz Ryzen 7 9700X under sustained loads, maintaining stable clocks for extended play.

How loud is the system when the RTX 5070 and CPU are both at full load for hours?

The liquid cooler and case fans run quietly at idle; under combined GPU and CPU load fan noise rises but stays in a moderate range suitable for a typical room.

Does the 850 W power supply include the 12VHPWR cable the RTX 5070 needs?

Yes, the 850 W unit ships with the native 12VHPWR connector required by the GeForce RTX 5070, so no adapter is necessary.
