ASUS TUF GT301 Ryzen 7 9700X Gaming Desktop

This ASUS TUF GT301 is a new gaming desktop PC built around an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 8-core processor running at 3.8GHz. It includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12GB GDDR7 memory and 128GB of DDR5 RAM. The system ships with Windows 11 Home installed and is virtual reality ready for immersive play.

Installation ease and common issues

The desktop arrives fully assembled, liquid cooled with a 240mm cooler, and tested so it is ready to use immediately. Component brands may vary from the listing images. Builders who want to select every individual part themselves or who need a chassis with a different internal layout will not be served by this pre-built configuration.

Storage capacity and headroom

Storage combines a 2TB NVMe SSD for fast boot and load times with a 2TB SATA III HDD for bulk capacity. Four memory slots are populated to reach 128GB DDR5, leaving no free slots for further RAM expansion without replacing modules. The 850W power supply supports the included hardware; users adding significantly more drives or higher-power cards may exceed its headroom.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 240mm liquid cooler is keeping the Ryzen 7 9700X at safe temperatures under load?

Monitor CPU temperatures in BIOS or with Windows monitoring software while gaming; the 240mm liquid cooler is designed to handle the 8-core 3.8GHz processor thermal output during extended sessions.

Which components are included in the box versus items I must purchase separately such as monitor or peripherals?

The system ships with the GT301 desktop, 240mm liquid cooler installed, 128GB DDR5 memory, 2TB NVMe SSD, 2TB HDD, RTX 5070 graphics card, 850W power supply, Windows 11 Home, WiFi and RGB lighting; monitor, keyboard and mouse are not included.

Should I choose this configuration with 128GB DDR5 and dual 2TB storage or a lower-capacity version for 1080p gaming only?

This 128GB DDR5, 2TB NVMe plus 2TB HDD build targets 1440p or 4K gaming and heavy multitasking; a smaller memory or single-drive model would suit 1080p-only use cases.
