ASUS Vivobook 15 F512DA laptop

This ASUS Vivobook 15 F512DA is a new 15.6 inch laptop for home and business users. It runs Windows 10 Home on an AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor with a base speed of 2.30GHz and a turbo frequency of 4GHz. The quad-core CPU has 4MB cache and is paired with 40GB DDR4 memory and a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics drive the 1920 x 1080 non-touch display.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The 40GB DDR4 memory and 1TB NVMe SSD suit buyers who need a large memory capacity and fast storage for multitasking and large files. The 15.6 inch Full HD screen and 3.85 lb weight fit portable office work. Buyers who want a touchscreen or a discrete graphics card should look elsewhere. The 37 WHr battery and 45W power supply limit runtime for users away from mains power.

40GB DDR4 memory capacity

The single specification that decides fit is the 40GB DDR4 memory capacity. Most laptops in this class ship with less memory, so this configuration handles heavier workloads without paging. The memory is soldered and not user-upgradable, so the 40GB figure is fixed for the life of the device. Verify that your applications run within this limit before purchase.
