Six-bay M.2 NVMe NAS

The FS6806X is a six-bay desktop NAS built around M.2 NVMe slots instead of traditional drive bays. It runs on an AMD Ryzen V3C14 quad-core processor at 2.3 GHz with 8 GB of DDR5-4800 ECC memory installed. The system supports ADM 5.0 and provides a single 10 GbE port alongside two USB 4.0 Type-C and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.

Suits flash-only workflows, not spinning-disk arrays

This unit targets users who want all-flash storage for tasks such as 4K editing, virtualization or high-speed caching where low latency matters. It is not suited for buyers who need 3.5-inch hard-drive bays, higher raw capacity per bay, or a lower-cost archive tier based on mechanical drives.

Six M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4 support

The decisive specification is the six M.2 slots, each capable of PCIe 4.0 x4 speeds, which dictates the maximum number of NVMe drives you can install and the peak throughput per drive.

Questions about this item

Will the 10GbE port on the FS6806X work with my existing 1GbE switch and cabling?

Yes, the 10GbE port auto-negotiates down to 1GbE so it will operate with your current switch and Cat5e or Cat6 cables, simply at the lower speed.

How can I verify the AMD Ryzen V3C14 processor and 8GB DDR5-4800 ECC memory are recognised and healthy after first boot?

Log into ADM 5.0, open System Information and confirm the CPU shows as AMD Ryzen Embedded V3C14 with four cores at 2.3GHz and the memory reads 8GB DDR5-4800 ECC.

The FS6806X arrives diskless — what must I buy separately to populate the six M.2 slots?

You need to purchase up to six M.2 NVMe SSDs that support PCIe 4.0 x4; no drive caddies or screws are required as the slots are tool-less.
