Lightning-to-USB-C adapter charges and pairs 1st-generation Apple Pencil with 10th/11th-generation iPad (A16 2025)
The AT&T adapter connects a first-generation Apple Pencil to a USB-C port on the tenth or eleventh generation iPad with the A16 2025 chip. It handles both charging and the initial pairing process for that specific combination. The white unit measures .889 by 7.7978 by 12.4968 centimetres and weighs .018 kilograms. A tether is included to keep the small adapter attached to a cable.
Insert the Apple Pencil 1st Gen into the Lightning end of the adapter and plug a USB-C charging cable into the other port. Power flows through the USB-C connection to charge the stylus. Pairing is supported only with the iPad 10th and 11th Gen (A16 2025). If the pencil battery is below twenty percent, charge it first to establish a stable link.
The adapter works exclusively with the Apple Pencil 1st Gen and the iPad 10th or 11th Gen (A16 2025). It does not support any other Apple Pencil models or iPad generations. It is not designed as a Lightning cable extender. Buyers needing to pair or charge a second-generation Apple Pencil or an older iPad with a Lightning port cannot use this adapter.

Insert the Apple Pencil 1st Gen into the Lightning end of the adapter, then connect the iPad's USB-C charging cable to the USB-C port on the adapter. If the Pencil battery is below 20%, charge it first to ensure a stable pairing connection with the iPad 10th/11th Gen A16 2025.
The adapter has no moving parts or batteries and requires no scheduled maintenance. The included adapter tether helps prevent loss. Replace the unit only if the Lightning or USB-C connectors become physically damaged or fail to make a reliable connection.
The adapter supports charging and pairing exclusively via USB-C cables and is not designed as a Lightning cable extender. The practical limit is the Apple Pencil 1st Gen's own battery capacity and the iPad 10th/11th Gen A16 2025's power delivery, not the adapter itself.
