Secure KVM Switch for Dual Display

The ATEN CS1142H4C is a 2-port KVM switch that lets a single operator control two computers from one dual-display workstation. It supports 3840 x 2160 resolution at 50 Hz and 60 Hz and is certified to the PSD PP v4.0 Protection Profile by NIAP for use in defence and intelligence environments. A built-in CAC reader is included for smart-card authentication.

Rack-Mountable Installation

The unit mounts in a standard rack and provides six HDMI ports plus seven USB ports for video, keyboard, mouse, audio and CAC peripherals. Hardware-enforced isolation and unidirectional data flow prevent any signal leakage between the connected computers. Configurable device filtration blocks unauthorised USB device classes, and tamper-evident seals show if the chassis has been opened.

Suited for High-Security Multi-Domain Workstations

This switch serves operators who must access separate security domains from a single dual-monitor console while meeting NIAP PSD PP v4.0 requirements. It is not intended for users who need more than two computer ports, who require video resolutions above 3840 x 2160, or who do not need the certified isolation and CAC features mandated by secure government installations.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the CS1142H4C is operating correctly after connecting two computers and dual displays?

The front-panel port LEDs show the active channel; both monitors should display 3840 x 2160 at 50 Hz or 60 Hz without flicker, and keyboard, mouse, audio and CAC reader must respond only on the selected port.

What cables and accessories are included with the CS1142H4C, and what must I supply myself?

The switch provides 6 HDMI and 7 USB ports for your cables; you must supply HDMI cables for each display and computer, USB cables for keyboard, mouse and CAC reader, and rack-mount hardware if installing in a cabinet.

The product name lists PSD PP v4.0 and CAC support — which version should I choose for a dual-display secure installation?

CS1142H4C is the single model that delivers dual-display 3840 x 2160 at 50 Hz and 60 Hz with PSD PP v4.0 certification and integrated CAC reader support for two computers.
