Two-computer KVM with HDMI

The ATEN CS22HF is a 2-port USB FHD HDMI cable KVM switch that lets one user control two computers from a single keyboard, mouse and monitor. It supports a maximum video resolution of 1920 x 1200 and includes a remote port selector for convenient switching between systems.

HDMI and USB limits at 1920 x 1200

Video output is capped at 1920 x 1200, so displays or sources running higher resolutions will not show their full detail. The switch provides four USB ports and three HDMI connections, but it does not support audio extraction or advanced HDMI features beyond the stated resolution.

Check your computers and cables first

Verify that each computer has an HDMI output and a USB port for the KVM link cables. Confirm that your monitor accepts 1920 x 1200 over HDMI and that you have the necessary HDMI and USB cables to connect both systems to the switch.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2-port model or a larger KVM for my two computers?

The CS22HF supports exactly two computers and one local user, so it matches a dual-PC setup without extra ports you would not use.

What does the 1920 x 1200 rating mean when I connect my monitors?

It is the maximum video resolution the switch will pass through; both connected computers can output up to that resolution without downscaling.

Which video interface does the switch use and what resolution does it cap at?

The unit uses HDMI for video and caps the signal at 1920 x 1200, so any higher-resolution source will be limited to that maximum.
