Mounting Rail for KVM-over-IP Switch

The ATEN 2K0007 mounting rail combines a CL3800, CL3700 or CL3100 LCD KVM console with a KVM-over-IP switch in a single 1U rack space. This kit is designed for administrators who need to consolidate console and switching hardware in dense server environments.

Standard Installation Requires Two People

The 2K0007 follows a standard installation process that calls for at least two people to rack-mount the combined unit safely. An optional easy-installation accessory, the 2K-0002, is available separately to enable one-person mounting if required.

Suits Admins Pairing Console with KVM-over-IP

This rail suits operators who want to pair a compatible LCD console with a KVM-over-IP switch in one rack unit. It does not fit the rack KVM switch option that uses the 2K-0001 kit, so buyers needing that combination should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 2K0007 rail is correctly installed with my CL3800 console?

After mounting the 2K0007 in 1U, the CL3800 LCD KVM console and a compatible KVM over IP switch should sit flush together without gaps, and both units should slide smoothly on the rails.

What comes with the 2K0007 kit and what must I buy separately?

The 2K0007 mounting rail kit is supplied alone; you must purchase a CL3800, CL3700 or CL3100 LCD KVM console and a compatible KVM over IP switch separately.

Should I choose the 2K0007 or the 2K-0001 for my setup?

Choose the 2K0007 when pairing the LCD console with a KVM over IP switch; choose the 2K-0001 when pairing it with a standard rack KVM switch instead.
