DVI Optical KVM Extension

The ATEN TECHNOLOGIES CE680 is a KVM switch designed to extend DVI video, keyboard and mouse signals over optical fibre. It enables remote console access for servers or workstations in data centres, industrial sites or secure facilities where long-distance cabling is required. The unit is supplied in new condition.

Suited for long-distance DVI control

This extender suits administrators who need to place a console far from the host computer using a single DVI link and USB peripherals. It is not for users who require multi-head video support, HDMI or DisplayPort connectivity, or local switching between several computers.

DVI over optical fibre

The decisive specification is the use of optical fibre to carry a DVI signal alongside USB control data, allowing much greater reach than copper-based KVM cables. Confirm that your source and display both use DVI before purchasing.
