ATEN VC812 HDMI to VGA converter

The ATEN VC812 converts digital HDMI signals to analogue VGA video while extracting the audio stream for separate output. It includes a built-in scaler to match the output resolution to the connected display. The device is aimed at integrators and meeting-room technicians who must bridge modern HDMI sources with legacy projectors or monitors. It suits conference-room installations where a laptop or codec feeds an older VGA-only display system.

HDMI to VGA conversion with audio extraction

The converter handles the signal transition from HDMI to VGA and provides an audio output for external speakers or a mixer. The internal scaler adjusts the picture to fit the target display without manual tuning. It does not support reverse conversion from VGA to HDMI, so buyers needing to drive an HDMI screen from a VGA source must look elsewhere. The unit has no network management or multi-input switching, limiting it to point-to-point conversion tasks.
