Distributes one HDMI source to four displays up to 100 metres over Cat 6 cable with a local HDMI output and RS-232 control
The ATEN VS1814T distributes a single HDMI source to four displays over Cat 6/6a cable using HDBaseT Class A technology. It suits installers, integrators and AV professionals who need reliable long-distance signal distribution in commercial or residential environments. A local HDMI output allows a monitor at the source location. The unit mounts in a standard rack and operates from a built-in AC power supply.
The splitter handles video up to 4096 x 2160 or 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling, or at 30 Hz with full 4:4:4 colour. Maximum data rate is 10.2 Gbps at 340 MHz pixel clock. HDMI input cables are limited to 1.8 metres, while each HDBaseT output reaches up to 100 metres depending on the connected receiver. Bandwidth and distance scale with cable quality and receiver capability.
The device needs a 120 VAC or 230 VAC mains connection drawing 20 W or 23 W respectively. Control is provided through an RS-232 DB-9 port at 19200 baud for automation systems. EDID management offers Default, Port 1, Auto and Learn modes to resolve handshake issues. HDCP and CEC pass-through maintain content protection and device control across the chain. Four RJ-45 ports connect to compatible receivers, freeing the source from direct cable runs to each display.

The splitter supports resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz (4:2:0) and 30 Hz (4:4:4), and is HDMI compliant with 3D and Deep Color, so it will pass 1080p signals from older sources to your current displays without issue.
Check the front-panel LEDs: Power should be solid green, HDMI In and HDMI Out green confirm local signal presence, and each of the four HDBaseT Out LEDs will light green when a valid link to a receiver is established.
The package includes the VS1814T unit, a power cord, a mounting kit, and user instructions. You must supply Cat 6/6a cables for the four HDBaseT runs and compatible HDBaseT receivers for each remote display.
