15.6-inch UHD 4K IPS replacement panel

This 15.6-inch panel replaces a damaged or dim LP156UD1(SP)(B1) screen with a 3840x2160 IPS display. It delivers 300 cd/m² brightness and an 800:1 contrast ratio for sharp text and accurate colour. The 60 Hz refresh rate suits everyday office work and media playback. A 40-pin video connector matches the original cable exactly.

Who this fits and who it does not

The part is built for notebooks that originally shipped with the LP156UD1(SP)(B1) panel and a 40-pin eDP connection. It will not work on models that use a 30-pin or 50-pin cable, a different mounting bracket, or a touch-enabled digitiser layer. Buyers needing a touchscreen, a higher refresh rate, or a different pin count should look for the panel specified by their service manual.

Deciding specification: 40-pin eDP connector

The single detail that determines compatibility is the 40-pin video signal connector. If the original screen uses a different pin count or connector position, this panel will not install. Verify the part number LP156UD1(SP)(B1) and the 40-pin interface on the existing cable before ordering.

Questions about this item

What is included with the LP156UD1 screen and do I need to buy any cables or brackets separately?

The package contains the 15.6 inch IPS panel with a 40-pin video connector; mounting brackets and any additional cables are not included and must be sourced separately if your laptop requires them.

The listing shows LP156UD1 (SP)(B1) — how do I confirm this exact version fits my laptop?

Match the part number LP156UD1(SP)(B1) printed on your original screen; this panel is built to that specification with 3840x2160 resolution, 60Hz refresh and 40-pin interface.

What does the 3840x2160 resolution mean for everyday use on a 15.6 inch display?

At 15.6 inches the 3840x2160 UHD 4K panel delivers very high pixel density, so text and images appear extremely sharp; the 300 cd/m² brightness and 800:1 contrast ratio provide good indoor visibility at 60Hz.
