Plenum Cat6 1000 ft Green Cable

This Cat6 bulk cable is plenum rated for installation in air handling spaces above suspended ceilings or below raised floors. It uses 23 AWG conductors with four twisted pairs and a centre spline to reduce cross talk. The jacket is green and meets CMP fire safety requirements.

Easy Pull Box and Foot Markings

The cable ships in a tangle free easy pull box that simplifies long runs through conduit or ceiling plenums. Sequential foot markings on the jacket let you measure and cut exact lengths without a separate measuring tool.

Verify Plenum Requirement and Connector Plan

Confirm that local building codes require plenum rated cable for the intended pathway before ordering. This bulk reel has no pre fitted connectors so you will need RJ45 plugs and a crimp tool to terminate each end.

Questions about this item

Will the 23 AWG conductors or the centre spline need replacement after installation?

The solid 23 AWG conductors and integral centre spline are permanent parts of the cable and do not require replacement once installed.

What distance limit applies to 10-Gigabit Ethernet runs with this 550 MHz Cat6 cable?

The 550 MHz bandwidth supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet up to the standard Cat6 channel limit of 55 metres.

Does the CMP plenum jacket produce noticeable heat or odour when the cable carries data continuously?

The plenum-rated jacket is designed for fire safety in air-handling spaces and does not generate heat or odour during normal data transmission.
