This adapter connects to a TV eARC port and splits the audio to four outputs at once: HDMI audio only, optical SPDIF, coaxial and a 3.5 mm stereo jack. It handles 192 KHz sampling and passes 7.1 channel sound through the HDMI output while optical and coaxial carry 5.1 channel audio. The TV must have an eARC port or the unit will not function.

Installation and common issues

Power the box with the supplied USB-C cable, link the TV eARC port to the extractor with an HDMI cable, then run cables from the four outputs to your sound system. Volume for the ARC and headphone outputs follows the TV remote via CEC. A missing eARC port on the TV is the only show-stopper; otherwise the automatic mute and noise-reduction circuits keep the signal clean.

Limits of the HDMI eARC interface

The extractor relies entirely on the TV eARC implementation, so any handshake or format negotiation happens on the TV side.
