This AUBEAMTO two-pack provides two DisplayPort male to VGA female converters for connecting computers or laptops with DisplayPort outputs to monitors, projectors, or HDTVs that only accept VGA input. Each adapter measures 8.11 by 5.04 by 0.71 inches and weighs 1.44 ounces, making them easy to carry in a laptop bag. The gold-plated DisplayPort connectors feature latches for a secure fit and resist corrosion. A separate VGA cable is required to complete the connection.

Upgrading from single adapters or missing ports

The pack replaces the need to buy separate single adapters for multiple workstations or to swap a single dongle between a desk monitor and a conference-room projector. The jump is worth it when you regularly connect a DisplayPort-equipped laptop to two different VGA displays, such as a permanent office monitor and a portable projector for presentations. Built-in IC chips convert the digital DisplayPort signal to analog VGA; the adapters are unidirectional and cannot send a VGA source to a DisplayPort screen.

Limited to 1080p analogue output

Maximum supported resolution is 1920 by 1080 at 60 Hz, with additional support for 1920 by 1200, 1600 by 1200, 1280 by 1024, and 720p. The analogue VGA interface cannot carry audio, so a separate audio path is needed for sound. Bandwidth is sufficient only for legacy display modes; higher refresh rates, 4K resolutions, or HDR content are not supported. The VGA connector lacks a locking mechanism, so the cable can be pulled loose more easily than a latched DisplayPort plug.
