What it is

The AUBEAMTO HDMI Switch 2×1 connects two HDMI 2.0 sources to a single display and extracts audio through optical, coaxial, RCA and 3.5 mm outputs. It handles 4K at 60 Hz with 18.5 Gbps bandwidth and supports HDCP 2.2. The unit includes a remote for input selection.

Who it suits and who it does not

Home-theatre owners who need to switch between two 4K 60 Hz devices and send audio to a soundbar or amplifier via ARC will find this convenient. Buyers who require more than two inputs, 4K at higher frame rates, or HDMI 2.1 features should look elsewhere.

The deciding specification

Maximum video bandwidth is 18.5 Gbps with support for 4K at 60 Hz and 24-bit colour. Audio extraction covers LPCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio through optical and coaxial ports, while RCA and 3.5 mm outputs provide stereo only.
