What this cable does

This AUBEAMTO USB4 cable carries 40 Gbps data, 100 W power delivery and 8K 60 Hz video over a USB C to USB C link. It suits users who need one short cable for docking stations, external SSDs, eGPU enclosures or high-resolution monitors.

Sustained throughput and thermals

The integrated e-marker chip maintains the full 40 Gbps rate during long transfers instead of throttling after a burst. Nylon-braided construction and gold-plated connectors keep signal integrity stable while the copper core handles continuous 5 A current without overheating.

The spec that decides fit

Length is fixed at 1.5 ft, so the cable only works when host and peripheral sit close together. Buyers needing a longer reach between a laptop and a dock or display should choose a different length.

Questions about this item

Does the 40Gbps cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power during all-day transfers and 100W charging?

The cable is passive with an e-marker chip; it carries up to 100W at 20V/5A and 40Gbps data without active components, so heat stays minimal under continuous load.

What must my devices already have for this cable to deliver 8K 60Hz video and 40Gbps speeds?

Both ends need USB-C ports that support USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4 with DisplayPort Alternate Mode; USB 3.2 or 3.1 ports will fall back to lower speeds and no video.

Will the 1.5ft length and Thunderbolt 3 compatibility let me keep using my older Thunderbolt 3 dock and 4K monitor?

Yes — the cable is backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2/3.1, so it drives a 4K 60Hz display and transfers data at the dock’s rated speed.
