Two-port USB-C bi-directional switch

The AUBEAMTO switch connects two USB-C sources to one display or one source to two displays, toggling between them with a front button. Both host and display ports must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video. It is aimed at users who share a single monitor between a laptop and a desktop or who move a single laptop between two screens.

Bandwidth and video limits

The link runs at up to 10 Gbps and complies with USB 3.1 and USB PD 3.0. Video output reaches 8K at 30 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz, 1440p at 165 Hz and 1080p at 165 Hz. Two attached displays cannot be active simultaneously; only the selected port passes a signal.

Power and cabling reality

The unit requires external 5 V power via the included USB-to-DC cable or no video will appear. Power delivery up to 100 W passes through to the connected host when the source supports it. A short fixed USB-C tail plugs into the source or display depending on mode, so cable reach is fixed and the switch must sit near that device.
