Connects a USB-C source to a DisplayPort 1.4 monitor at up to 8K 60 Hz or 4K 165 Hz with 32.4 Gbps bandwidth
Cable Length 10 Feet
This 10-foot cable connects a USB-C source with video output to a DisplayPort display. It serves laptop, tablet and desktop users who need a single-cable link to a monitor, projector or TV. The unidirectional design only carries signals from USB-C to DisplayPort.
The link delivers 32.4 Gbps, enough for 8K at 60 Hz with HDR or 4K at up to 165 Hz for gaming. At higher resolutions or refresh rates beyond those figures the available bandwidth runs out and the display will fall back to a lower mode.
The cable complies with DisplayPort 1.4 and works over USB 3.2 DP Alt-Mode as well as Thunderbolt 4 and 3 ports. It is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.3, 1.2 and 1.1. It cannot carry power for charging and requires the host USB-C port to support video output.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the cable is backwards compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.1, so it will carry a signal to your older monitor at the highest resolution and refresh rate that both the source and the display support.
Open your operating system's display settings or the monitor's on-screen menu and verify the active resolution reads 4K at 165Hz; the cable supports up to 32.4Gbps bandwidth for that mode.
The cable is a single male-to-male unit with a USB-C plug on one end and a DisplayPort 1.4 plug on the other; no extra adapters are included or required for a direct connection.
