Two USB 3.0 to VGA adapters add a second 1920 x 1080 display to Windows laptops or desktops without opening the case
This pack contains two USB 3.0 to VGA adapters that let a Windows laptop or desktop drive additional monitors, projectors or TVs with VGA inputs. Each adapter draws power from the USB port so no external supply is needed. The pair is aimed at users who want to extend or mirror their desktop across two extra screens without opening the computer case. Supported operating systems are Windows XP, 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Chromebook, Linux and macOS are not supported.
When the host port is USB 3.0 the adapter can maintain a 1920 x 1080 signal continuously, functioning like an external graphics device for office applications, video playback and conferencing. On a USB 2.0 port the available bandwidth drops, so the maximum stable resolution falls to lower modes such as 1280 x 720 or 1360 x 768. The hardware requires no driver installation beyond the standard Windows display stack, and performance remains steady during long sessions because the adapter is powered directly by the bus.
The practical limit is the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 connection; it carries both video and audio data, so the highest guaranteed mode is 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. Higher resolutions or refresh rates are not possible because the link cannot transport more data. The VGA output is analogue, so cable quality and length also affect the final image, but the adapter itself cannot exceed the USB 3.0 throughput. Users needing more than two extra displays or higher pixel counts would need a different interface such as a native GPU output or a dock with greater bandwidth.
