12-sheet crosscut capacity

The Aurora AU1230XA shreds up to twelve sheets at once into 3/16 by 1-9/16 inch particles meeting security level P-3. It also destroys credit cards and small paper clips. A 5.2-gallon wastebasket collects the cut material and LED indicators show standby or overheat status.

Ideal for light office shredding

Suits users who need periodic document destruction with jam-resistant operation and a five-minute continuous run time. Not for environments that require longer uninterrupted sessions or higher sheet capacities per pass.

P-3 crosscut particle size

The 3/16 by 1-9/16 inch crosscut determines the security level and the type of material the machine can handle. This specification decides whether the shredder meets your document-disposal requirements.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the AU1230XA get if I run it for the full 5-minute continuous cycle?

The shredder runs for 5 minutes nonstop before thermal protection pauses it; an LED warns when it overheats.

Do I need a special outlet or any extra accessories to start shredding with the AU1230XA?

It plugs into a standard mains socket and shreds paper, credit cards and small paper clips right out of the box.

Will the AU1230XA handle the same staple and paper-clip loads as my older strip-cut machine?

Yes — it cross-cuts up to 12 sheets at once and also destroys credit cards and small paper clips at security level P-3.
