Connects two computers to shared dual DisplayPort 1.4 monitors, keyboard, mouse and USB 3.0 peripherals with 4K@144Hz or 8K@30Hz support
The AUTECH 622DP-4 connects two computers or laptops to a single keyboard, mouse and dual-monitor setup. An extra USB 3.0 hub port lets you share a peripheral such as a drive or webcam. It suits IT specialists, gamers and home-office users who need to control both systems from one desk. The package includes all required cables for immediate use.
Users whose machines already provide two DisplayPort outputs can switch instantly between extended or mirrored desktops. The switch also supports keyboard, mouse, webcam, speaker and microphone sharing across Windows, Linux and macOS. Buyers whose computers only have one video output or only HDMI ports would need active adapters, which are not included.
DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth delivers up to 8K@60Hz when both inputs drive one monitor, and 4K@144Hz or 4K@240Hz (32:9) across two monitors. Lower resolutions such as 2560x1440@144Hz are also supported. Actual performance depends on the graphics cards, monitors and cables used in the chain.

Connect each computer's dual DisplayPort 1.4 outputs to the corresponding input pairs on the switch, then attach the shared monitors to the output ports; the step people miss is ensuring both DP cables per computer are firmly seated before powering on.
The mechanical push-button and wired remote contacts can wear from frequent switching; the USB 3.0 hub port may loosen with repeated peripheral insertion, and cables should be inspected for bent pins or signal degradation.
The switch tops out at 4K 144 Hz or 8K 30 Hz per DisplayPort 1.4 link; bandwidth saturation appears first at those settings, so extended play at 4K 144 Hz is the practical sustained-use boundary.
